Medical and pharmaceutical production unit located in Bucharest.

Initial situation

To improve air quality from manufacturing unit of capsules, the customer will need air filters from a superior class filtration added to those available: plane pleated filters, G5 filtration class(EN 779: 2012) and bag filters, M5 filtration class (EN 779: 2012) for coarse filtration and bag filters, F8 filtration class (EN 779: 2012) for the fine filtration. In addition, the client did not want to bring any modifications to the ventilation and air conditioning installation.

Results

To increase air purity level without modifying the ventilation and air conditioning installation.

Used products:

  • Bag filters, M6 filtration class
  • HEPA filters, H13 filtration class

Proposed solutions

Following a visit to the location, an analysis of the installation and space needs was completed and the Eversted team recommended a three-stage filtration solution, as it follows:

  • The first-stage of filtration – bag filters, M6 filtration class (EN 779: 2012) to ensure full coarse filtration due M6 material which contains a prefilter;
  • The second-stage of filtration – compact filters, F9 filtration class (EN 779:2012);
  • The third-stage of filtration – HEPA filters, H13 filtration class (ISO 1822) for a minimum filtration of 99,95% (DOP test).
